Pedagogy the art and science of teaching.
Hello everyone i hope you are all well and safe. We had a free topic to write about and i would like to talk about pedagogy the art and science of teaching. Pedagogy is a method and practice of teaching, is a way of bringing learning into life, being concerned about other's need and taking steps to help them. In ancient times teachers were moral guides who were to be obeyed, also it has been discussed a lot whether pedagogy is an art or science of teaching?
Usually it was seen as a science , with traditional classroom where teacher lead the students and was teacher-centered class. But nowadays mostly agree that pedagogy is an art and science of teaching. Professors need to be experienced as people who can be trusted , respected and turned to. First we listen to students and gain their trust, and through dialogues we learn about their needs, working habits, interests and talents. Learning is a matter of head, hand and heart. Pedagogy is constantly evolving, it must fit your audience and focus on helping students to develop an understanding of material beyond memorization and surface knowledge. Students should be able to connect concepts to the real world.
Pedagogy is an art, of leading students to knowledge, whereas as a science is understanding that its ultimate objective, to guide the process of teaching and learning. There is artistry in the way teachers connect with students and foster their understanding, and science an evidence base on which professors builds approaches to develop students knowledge skills and competencies. They both play an important role because applying both of these the classroom will be very interesting. As an art demonstrates ways in which teacher may use creative way to present material so it's fun and interesting for students. As a science demonstrates ways in which the teacher may use a more logical method to present material to the students. It is " the science of mind and art of heart"
Although a teacher may use an artistic method of explaining a lesson they still must research their material before they can teach it. A good teacher should balance both of them, to make it easier for students to learn and absorb information while keeping their attention span. Best teachers are successful classroom managers and gifted at inspiring students. Effective pedagogy is a skillful blend of artistic and scientific elements. Art involves beliefs, emotions values and flexibility while science utilizes instructional practices that improve students achievement. Through the artistic creativity of the artist science aims at expressing reality objectively. Pedagogy is an art form by learning from its scientific application in the classroom. If we focus too much on science we loose the human element of teaching. There is something very creative about process knowing our material , and knowing students learning well enough, what a student need to get them over an obstacle. And there is a real art to that. Pedagogy is both science and art. There are three basic important principles in education: aim, method and evaluation. Method of education involves both art and science. They can't be separated in teaching, both complement each other. Each teacher is unique as each has his or her personalised experience. They have to ensure that the process of teaching is able to reach their goals, that is where art and science are applied in pedagogy.

Teaching is both an art and a science.
We can't teach, if we don't convey something, but we can't also teach if we don't present it in the best possible way.
I like your post and your point of view about pedagogy.
You have mentioned very well the fact that teachers should combine their way of teaching. There should not only be just an information, but also an 'artistic' way to transmit it.
